Mark your Calendar for the Skills Canada National Competition 2025!

The next Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) will be held on May 29 and 30, 2025 at the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) District.

Through SCNC, Skills/Compétences Canada promotes skilled trade and technology careers to Canadian youth. SCNC is the only national, multi-trade and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country. Each year, more than 500 of Canada’s best come to SCNC to compete in over 40 skilled trade and technology competitions. At SCNC, thousands of students visit the competition floor and discover the exciting and rewarding careers that are available in the skilled trades and technologies through over 50 interactive Try-A-Trade® and Technology activities, by visiting exhibitor booths, and engaging with industry professionals.

Transportation Assistance Guidelines

Skills/Compétences Canada invites youth groups from Regina & area to visit the Skills Canada National Competition. Spend an unforgettable day discovering skilled trade and technology careers! Transportation assistance is available, see guidelines below.

Transportation assistance is to assist with costs specific to transportation and will be issued to qualifying organizations/schools as reimbursements.

In order to qualify, you must have your class scheduled for one of the following four sessions:

  • May 29th - Morning Session: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • May 29th - Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM
  • May 30th - Morning Session: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • May 30th - Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM

Transportation Assistance Guidelines:

  • Transportation assistance is awarded on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
  • Up to $300 per bus. 
  • There is no maximum of how many buses per organization/school.
  • Buses must be booked through a transportation company of your choice.
  • Confirmation of travel assistance will be sent to you via email.

All applicants will be notified.
